I just watched “Pan’s Labyrinth” yesterday. It was a very VERY haunting movie. It was really gory, brutal and gruesome in some.., no, lots of parts. I don’t know how these words can stay together to describe the movie when its title has a full fairy tale image. I didn’t know about the story of this movie before I went to watch it. I just wanted to watch it for the fantasy part and visual effects of a fairy tale. My co-worker told me about the movie and she said “I wouldn’t have watched it if I knew it was so gruesome, it was not my kind of movie, but I can’t or wouldn’t say it wasn’t good.., it was good….” I was laughing at her that she was being a baby, but, yeah, she was right. All I can say is that the movie was very VERY haunting, just like I said in the beginning. In the end, I realize that a fairy tale is actually a tale of reality. It was beautifully(or brutally) done. Please read the comment of the film maker Guillermo del Toro and you will know where it came from. I liked the music too!

P.S. On the lighter note, I recommend “Little Miss Sunshine”, highly, to warm your heart and give you a nice chuckle in the end of a day. Enjoy!
